A. Lange & Söhne introduces the new Lange 1 Daymatic for a special celebration

Lange 1 Daymatic from A. Lange & Söhne is a special model commemorating the 10th anniversary of A. Lange & Söhne Ginza in Tokyo.

The A. Lange & Söhne Boutique in Tokyo’s upscale Ginza district was inaugurated ten years ago. A limited edition of the Lange 1 Daymatic with guilloched dial celebrates the occasion. The special edition of the Lange 1 Daymatic is only available at A. Lange & Söhne Ginza in Tokyo.

Since 2010, the Lange 1 Daymatic is the automatic mirror image of the Lange 1, the best-known watch of the Saxon manufactory. Now, the timepiece with the retrograde day-of-week indication is launched in a limited white-gold edition of 20 pieces. Its special features are an exquisitely guilloched, argenté-colored gold dial and blued-steel hands.

The numerals of the outsize date display and the inscriptions on the dial are printed in blue to match the hue of the hands and result in a harmonious overall appearance. In contrast, the rhodium-gold appliques on the hour and minute display accentuate the three-dimensional effect of the guilloche pattern. The consistent colour concept continues in a dark-blue alligator leather strap with solid white-gold prong buckle.

The white-gold case with a diameter of 39.5 millimetres houses the self-winding calibre L021.1. Its heavy central rotor embossed with the A. Lange & Söhne signature and equipped with a platinum centrifugal mass on the outer rim assures efficient winding. When fully wound, a power reserve of 50 hours is available. An indexless oscillation system based on a large balance wheel with eccentric poising weights and an in-house manufactured balance spring provide the technical preconditions for excellent precision results.Among the many quality traits of the elaborately hand-finished movement are seven screwed gold chatons secured with thermally blued screws and the hand-engraved balance cock. The engraving of the limited edition number makes each of the 20 timepieces an unmistakable and unique work of art.
