A Day on the Field

The third edition of Millionaire Asia Polo Cup flags off in partnership with Jeep and an extravagant evening hosted at St. Regis Mumbai.

MillionaireAsia India hosted a day on the Field- Millionaire Asia Polo Cup in collabration with Jeep and hosted by St. Regis Mumbai, at the Amateur Riders’ Club (ARC) ground at the racecourse.

The third edition of the exclusive Millionaire Asia Polo Cup witnessed a thrilling game between ARC India and Chile with Chile emerging the winner.

Guests who came in early enjoyed the afternoon tea ritual with snacks, desserts, exquisite Indian teas and flavoured coffees along with the famed butler service and champagne sabering.

Style and sophistication, speed and sport, luxury and glamour are an intrinsic part of polo, making it a perfect fit for the St. Regis brand – this was the sentiment voiced by Anuraag Bhatnagar, Multi-Property VP, Mumbai and Goa, Marriott International. Also makes her presence felt was Parineeta Sethi, chief editor and publisher, Millionaire Asia India.

“The MillionaireAsia Polo Cup has year after year proved to be polo season’s favorite and most awaited tournament. For three years in a row, the MillionaireAsia Polo Cup has continued to get bigger, better and more spectacular. Together with the support of our fabulous partners, and glamorous friends, we promise to continue delivering a stunning experience with each new edition of the MillionaireAsia Polo Cup ” says Parineeta Sethi.

After the energetic polo game it was time for a fantastic fashion feast from world renowned couturier Nivedita Saboo who showcased her Spring/Summer collection for women and men that was especially curated for this polo event. On view across the 300 feet long ramp were prêt and couture creations featuring detail intensive crafts like global surface ornamentation techniques, pattern making, layering, quilting and pleating. Pastel hues, jewel tones and metallics enriched the collection with an apt spring/summer vibe as the models sashayed across the long ramp with the majestic Mumbai skyline as backdrop.

As though this was not enough, the evening continued with a smashing sundowner with catchy tunes by Bangalore-based band Fernandes Fusion with guests partaking of Johnnie Walker Black Label among other luxury spirits along with delightful cuisine from The St. Regis Mumbai.

This evening (and night) to remember was in partnership with Jeep (FCA India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd), St. Regis Mumbai, Nivedita Saboo, Amateur Riders’ Club, Swiss, Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau, GH Mumm, Johnnie Walker – The Journey, Jack Daniel’s, Jean Claude Biguine and Kingfisher Ultra.

The third edition of the most highly awaited equine event of the year drew in over 1300 chic attendees, with a generous smattering of spiffy celebrities including Pria Kataaria Puri, Namrata Purohit, Marc Robinson, Kailash Surendranath dressed to simply floor everyone.
