Emirates recently launched its first dedicated airport lounge, to offer the best travel experience to its first and business class passengers, as well as the platinum and gold members of Skywards at Cairo international airport.
Located at Departure Terminal 2, Level 2, above the secondary security check and Duty Free area, the airport lounge by Emirates allows the passengers to enjoy a perfect combination of perfect cuisine and travel experience.
Emirates lounge in Cairo represents a US$ 3.6 million investment that reflects airline’s ongoing commitment to Egypt to provide the passengers an enjoyable journey. Catering to three daily flights, the lounge offers customers greater levels of convenience.
Ribbon-cutting ceremony of the lounge was formally opened by led by Eng. Ahmed Youssef, Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board; Mohammed H Mattar, Emirates Divisional Senior; Vice-President-Emirates Airport Services; Thani Al Ansari, country manager, Egypt, Emirates. It was also attended by Mr. Montaser Manaa, Civil Aviation Authority VP and Mr. Khaled Abdel Monem who is the chairman of Central Air Transport administration.
Interiors
The lounge’s interior design reflects a new contemporary design that offers seating for up to 152 customers, that covers an area of 880sq.m. A relaxing ambiance, luxurious facilities like LED TV’s, comfortable leather armchairs, bespoke artwork and separate prayer rooms for male and female. Adding to the list of luxury treatments, a range of spa products is also available in the lounge from award-winning brand VOYA.

The lounge features a dedicated dining area, and an extensive menu of complimentary hot and cold gourmet buffet that includes local and international dishes and an extensive beverage service. Shower facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi service and a fully equipped business centre with state of art touch screen workstations make this lounge more than just a luxury lounge to be in.
