This holiday season, Hilton Goa Resort is enchanting guests with a unique and sustainable twist. The resort’s Christmas tree gains special significance as it aligns with the government’s millet initiative, echoing the United Nations’ declaration of 2023 as the ‘Year of Millets.’ In line with its commitment to culinary innovation and sustainability, Hilton Goa Resort introduces the ‘Millet Magic’ Christmas tree, a visual celebration of the nutritional richness and environmental benefits associated with millets. Adorned with a selection of millets, including Sorghum, Pearl, Finger, Kodo, Foxtail, and Barnyard, the tree symbolises the diverse range of millet varieties, creating a striking and meaningful display.
2. The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru’s Village-Themed Christmas Tree
This year, The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru takes on a sustainable approach for their Christmas tree, adopting a charming winter wonderland village theme. Earthy tones, crafted from natural elements like pampas grass, twigs, and real Christmas tree leaves adorned with shimmering semolina, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Pine wood and discarded metal contribute texture and sparkle alongside golden paper balls and silver-sprayed leaves. Rejecting plastic for its environmental impact, the village proudly showcases metal stars, twigs, and a heartwarming touch—a Christmas nutcracker. These traditional figures, believed to ward off negativity and usher in positive energy, make a delightful addition to this eco-conscious celebration. Beyond a mere display, this unique Christmas creation is a conscious choice, reminding observers that the magic of Christmas lies in the simple joys of nature and tradition—a festive season to be cherished by all.
3. Andaz Delhi’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Andaz Delhi was held on 1st December 2023, with a whole lot of joy and whimsical charm. The tree was adorned with delightful Christmas charms, colourful ornaments and was surrounded by snowmen and happiness all around. The perfect kickstarter for the holiday season, the event was accompanied with culinary delights that captured the essence of Christmas. From the warm notes of mulled wine, to delectable desserts; there was something for everyone. The event also saw a wonderful Christmas carolling recital by the children from an NGO, while the Christmas Tree Lighting was done by children from Shiksha NGO, with whom Andaz Delhi has had a long-standing relationship. With ornament-making activities for kids, and a festive high-tea setup, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony was definitely a wonderland for kids and adults alike.
4. Park Hyatt Chennai’s Christmas Wish Tree
Park Hyatt Chennai transformed its Christmas tree lighting ceremony into a Christmas Wish Tree on December 2nd. Children from Little Drops Charitable Trust adorned the tree with their wishes, and guests were invited to sponsor a gift of their choice for the kids. The evening, graced by General Manager Sascha Lenz, resonated with the spirit of the season—caring, sharing, and warmth. Following the tree lighting, carol singing, and a delightful hi-tea, guests eagerly lined up to fulfil the children’s wishes.
5. ITC Grand Central Mumbai’s Responsible Luxury Christmas Tree
Kicking off the festive spirit, ITC Grand Central hosted its tree lighting ceremony on December 9, 2023, in the lobby. The eco-conscious theme extended to the 11.5-foot Christmas tree made of glass vases filled with various millets like Kuttu, Ragi, Jowar, Barnyard, and Kangni. Attendees, including staff, guests, and influencers, witnessed the enchanting lighting and enjoyed melodious choir performances. The Responsible Luxury tree was inaugurated by Ranisa of Khimsar -Smt. Priti Kumari Singh and attended by prominent personalities, including Viraf Hansotia, Rajat Mitra, Yuvika Abrol, Antoine Lewis, and more.
6. JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru’s Anniversary Special Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, representing the pinnacle of opulence and refinement, joyfully observed a momentous milestone, as it marked ten years of unparalleled excellence in the realm of hospitality. To honour this noteworthy event, JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru celebrated the 10th Christmas tree lighting ceremony this year as the hotel completed a decade in the city. The tree represented 10 years of togetherness, nourishment, and mindfulness.
7. ITC Maratha’s Sawantwadi Chitrakarita Christmas Tree

Acknowledging the unparalleled talent of Sawantwadi artisans, ITC Maratha celebrated Christmas by showcasing their artistry deeply rooted in Indian culture. This year’s Christmas tree featured over 400 meticulously crafted wooden toys, inspired by Sawantwadi Lacquer, a testament to ITC Maratha’s commitment to preserving and promoting local craftsmanship.
