A unique perspective event at Le Meridien Gurgaon held in association with Quill and Canvas, an art gallery complemented by a book store.
Le Meridien Gurgaon, hosted an enthralling evening themed ‘Delhi – The Land of Creatives’ on 9th May 2019. The event brought to life the creative aspect of the city by bringing together the ingenious talents from in and around the city over a fun panel discussion complemented by Delhi inspired cocktails and petit plate moments. The hotel encouraged its guests to appreciate and discover the diversity of both traditional and contemporary art forms available in the city. While they also announced Quill and Canvas as their Unlock Art partner, to spear drive the city’s art discoveries through their unique art gallery complemented by a contemporary book store.
The evening started off with brief introductions of each of the creative minds, including Shobha Sen-Founder Quill & Canvas, where Rana Safvi, historian and translator, took the lead to talk about her recent work – City of My Hearts, a book that presents translations of four texts that talked about Dilli (today, Delhi) on the eve of the downfall and the fate of royalty following the uprising of 1857. Rajvi Sanghvi, from Hobbmob, brought to life her creative workshop format to life through an immersive corner that enabled guests to indulge in some of the traditional art forms on canvas and home décor items. This event was first one of the series for 2019. Located in South Point Mall Gurgaon, Quill and Canvas is a gallery complemented by a bookstore. Each of the pieces in the gallery is handpicked by Shobha Sen Gupta.
