Here are five bookish hotels, inspired from book and authors where you can spend a day or two.

Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, India

Set on 2,000 feet above the city of Hyderabad Taj Falaknuma Palace, is a true jewel amongst the clouds. Built in 1894, it is the former palace of the Nizam, rumoured to be the richest man in the world at one time. Overlooking the twinkling City of Pearls, this enchanting palace exudes romance and grandeur that take one back to when the Nizam ruled Hyderabad. The stunning Durbar Hall, Jade Room and massive 101-seater dining hall bedecked with Belgian chandeliers, and assorted gardens and terraces lend royal decadence to celebratory events and elegance to business meetings.

Taj Falaknuma Palace features over 5000 volumes of rare books and manuscripts. According to the hotel’s website, one will have to take 16 years to complete the whole stack.

 

Sylvia Beach Hotel, Newport, Oregon

Built in the 1912 as the New Cliff House hotel, the Sylvia Beach Hotel was named in honor of Sylvia Beach, the expatriate American bookseller and publisher who opened Shakespeare and Company bookstore in Paris in 1919. Later after the Renovation in 1980s the rooms were adapted to 21 literary themed bed and breakfast with a homey to attract readers and travelers.  Here each room details 21 authors and includes their books to reflect their life, also you can enjoy reading books at the ocean-front library.
