Recognised as the winner of 2024 in ‘World’s Greatest Places’ by Global Media Organisation, TIME, AIUIa is set to show its side of responsible tourism to travellers. Two of AIUIa’s awarded places include Dar Tantora Hotel House, a property established in AIUIa’s historic old town featuring ancient mud-brick houses that date back to 800 years. It’s an eco-lodge set to offer guests a blend of traditional Bedouin living and upscale comfort. Next is the Sharan Nature Reserve, which covers almost 600 square miles and serves as a center to restore AIUIa’s sensitive ecosystem and preserve and protect the place’s flora and fauna. AIUIa takes great pride in becoming a beacon of sustainable tourism known not only for its diverse landscape and historical sites but also for purpose-driven revitalization with a recent floral campaign of “Forever Revitalising.”
2. Take a moment at Alexis Rose’s Art Show, ‘The Future Will Remember.’
American activist and artist Alexis Rose’s ongoing exhibition is an invitation to take a moment and remember the archaeological record of unfolding atrocities in Gaza. It’s an evocative and powerful exhibition that uses sculptural artefacts, challenges the digital nature of modern justice landscapes and preserves truths for future generations. The exhibition is divided into two sets, where Artefact 1 acknowledges 6747 verified martyrs as confirmed by the Gaza Health Ministry in October, creating space on empty bricks to hold the names to come. The other part is Artefact Set 1B, which features an inbound printing list to update numbers and create a list for archival diaspora. The Future Will Remember is an invitation to be mindful of how the future will look back on the now and construct the memory amidst the tragedy.
