Recently, Anand Kapoor, Founder Creative Services Support Group hosted a very special evening – Salle d’Atelier – with three international Michelin Chefs, leading designers and artists from India to raise awareness and build support for its charitable initiatives for underprivileged youth. Together with Google which recently launched its Pixel 3, Kapoor created an experience involving some of the finest in the world of fashion, food, design, and art to curate a unique and a magical night for the crème-de-la-crème in Delhi.
Showcasing the best of design and food, three (3) one-day-only pop up restaurants were curated by one chef and one designer/artist; the concept collaborated designers Gaurav Gupta, Prateek Jain & Gautam Seth (Klove) and artists Thukral&Tagra together with international Michelin Chefs Alyn Williams, Marcello Tully and Michael Wignall to create a mesmerising experience. Ritu Dalmia, a longstanding supporter of the charity extended her support to work with the chefs for all their requirements for the dinner.
Hosts Aditi and Anand Kapoor welcomed designers Varun Bahl, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Nainika Karan, Pernia Qureshi, Kalyani Chawla, Shivan& Naresh, Lushin Dubey, Ramola Bachchan, and Aseem Chauhan to name a few. Guests wholeheartedly extended their support to the charity by making donations to support two initiatives of CSSG – The Urban Farm programme under Feeding Hearts and {w}hole. The Urban Farm project is a powerful tool to help break the poverty cycle by allowing orphanages and homes we work with an opportunity to generate income and thus be less reliant on goodwill. On the other hand, {w}hole is an aim to create a conversation across boundaries and provide a ray of hope to the future as well as allow creating inclusiveness that is nearly always missing due to a feeling of isolation
Speaking about this unique concept, Anand Kapoor, Founder of Creative Services Support Group and Curator of Salle d’Atelier said, “We have always looked at different, innovative ways of bringing unique concepts to India that benefit the charity. Each pop-up restaurant at Salle d’Atelier had a unique theme to it and a visual delight for the guests. It reflected the personality of each of the designers and artists designing their respective restaurants – each one a complete contrast to the other. The chefs worked on a customised menu, synchronised to the design of each of the restaurant using organic ingredients and produce grown by underprivileged children who we work with at the charity. We are happy that the Salle d’Atelier turned out to become just what we had anticipated offering a unique experience to guests for some time to remember.”
Salle d’Atelier featured a special performance by Stockholm-based opera duo, Divine who entertained the guests with renditions of popular songs from the yesteryears followed by a performance by Jazz band Laura Santana Quartet, pushing guests to hit the floor and shake a leg at this fun-filled evening. Drag artists Betta Naan Stop and Rani KoHEnur delivered high octane performances engaging and entertaining the guests as the party entered into the wee hours of the night.
The gala event was hosted at the Warehouse, an architectural ruin located at One Style Mile in Delhi’s Mehrauli which was uniquely transformed to reflect the vision of designers Gaurav Gupta, Prateek Jain & Gautam Seth and artists Thukral and Tagra. Flagship by FNP collaborated with CSSG as Décor Partners to transform the venue along with the designers.
A special experience zone was also created for guests to experience the newly launched Google Pixel 3 while they walked their way from the red carpet to the main venue. This experience beautifully integrated key features of the new Pixel 3 to showcase CSSG’s charitable work under the two initiatives
Guests enjoyed a sumptuous culinary delight with select dishes being paired with Martell Cognac. some interesting cocktails such as Curious Collins, Curious Sidecar, Curious Mint Julep, and Curious Mint Green Team were part of the menu.
