Known as the monarchs of the politics or just the super romantic power couple Michelle & Barack Obama are admired by the world.

Ever since their public introduction in campaign trail in 2007, we all might have seen endless caring gestures and romantic chemistry between them. But their real story began in the 1989 when Michelle Obama (then Robinson) was assigned to mentor Barack Obama at the Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin. They started dating, during which they went on to see a movie “Do the Right Thing”. After three years of dating the couple married in 1992.

Before getting down on his knees, Barack made sure his lady says ‘Yes’. He planned the proposal at a restaurant as he knew that there was always something special about popping the question over a romantic meal. They went for an occasional celebration at Gordon’s restaurant in Chicago where the waiter put a special spin to the evening offering them a dessert tray having a ring placed on it. And this is how the love saga began. Isn’t it so romantic?

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and daughters Malia and Sasha pose for a family portrait with Bo and Sunny in the Rose Garden of the White House on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)After which for more than a decade we have seen the couple with thousands of photographs captured showing joyous and comfortable with each other. He lends her his jacket, she carefully adjusts his tie, hand in hand, kiss at the match, they have always stood flawless and highly professional. Interestingly in one of the frame, the couple is seen dancing at the official Inaugural Ball while hundreds of spectators photograph them.

From bidding for a Senate seat and winning in 2004 to announcing Obama’s candidacy for president of the US, Michelle was all by his side. The couple stayed best friends and lovers through their hair-pulling and nail-biting days. Michelle also takes interest in watching Barack on a television, alone while his giving speeches. Michelle & Barack have also raised beautiful daughters- Malia and Sasha who also follow their footsteps.

The Obama’s also work in a cohesive way to spread awareness about humanity, today, the couple works together for The Obama Foundation, which is a start-up for citizenship —“an ongoing project to shape, together, what it means to be a good citizen.”
