Breitling – Norton Edition

The Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition celebrates the partnership between the prestige watch brand Breitling and British motorcycle company Norton, known worldwide for its high-performance motorcycles. The watch is part of Breitling’s Premier collection, a family of elegant watches defined by their fashionable flair. The new Norton Edition is a distinctive interpretation of the Premier that makes a bold urban chic style statement. Willy Breitling was famously quoted as saying: “When a man puts on his Breitling, there is the unmistakable stamp of impeccable taste.” A Norton motorcycle is a similar sign of its owner’s personal flair.

 

Tag Heuer’s Autavia Collection

TAG Heuer reintroduces the Autavia as a stand-alone collection with a range of models that boast the versatility, ruggedness and reliability that characterised the original Autavia watches produced in the 1960s.  TAG Heuer’s stylish, cockpit-inspired watch features eye-catching elements that are rooted in the history of the line. What fans loved about the original – its functionality, timeless style and numerous combinations – are also evident in the seven new models revealed at Baselworld.

Powering the Autavia three-hand timepieces is the chronometer-certified Calibre 5. The original Autavia was known for making use of the latest technology, and these models are no different. The new Autavia models feature the cutting-edge carbon-composite hairspring that the avant-garde watchmaker introduced earlier this year. The combination of the calibre and the carbon-composite hairspring gives every model in this collection Isograph distinction. The trademarked name comes from the Greek word iso, which means “equal”, and refers to the stable and consistent movement of the component.

 

Carl F Burcherer Manero Flyback

The latest addition to the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback collection combines the beauty of precious metal with unabashed retro charm and sophisticated watchmaking technology. The new Flyback Chronograph boasts an 18 k rose gold case that houses a column-wheel mechanism, ensuring both precision and ease of use. The vintage character of the timepiece gets an elegant contemporary twist thanks to black and red accents and a kudu-leather strap. The decidedly vintage flair of the new model is beautifully balanced by its modern elements. The black sunburst-finished dial pops against the two silver-coloured totalizator subdials – a small second’s display and a 30-minute counter – while bold red accents such as the “Flyback” lettering and the outline of the chapter ring add another stunning contrast. The handsome horological package is rounded out by a slim stopwatch second hand in red, a tachymeter scale, and a date display at 6 o’clock. The strap is crafted from dark gray kudu leather with a suede finish and features red contrast stitching along with an 18 k rose gold folding pin buckle.

 

Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special Silver

Zenith has chosen its iconic Pilot line to introduce its first ever timepiece with a silver case. Renowned for its unique heritage and extensive range of appealing choices, the Pilot line offers the ideal platform for this new high-flyer issued in a 250-piece limited edition. The Pilot Type 20 Extra Special Silver channels the collection’s pioneering spirit as well as Zenith’s acclaimed history of onboard instruments developed during the early years of aeronautics. Water-resistant to 100 metres, the 45 mm-diameter silver case is duly inscribed on the back with the Zenith flying instruments logo in tribute to its origins. The instantly identifiable wide ratcheted Pilot crown ensuring quick and easy adjustment, while the clearly legible brushed silver riveted dial bears the line’s emblematic outsize hour-markers and likewise oversized faceted luminescent hours, minutes and seconds hands. The accuracy of these indications is ensured by an automatic Zenith Elite 679 calibre endowed with a generous 50-hour power reserve. Securing this rugged model securely to the wrist is a brown calfskin leather strap with a rivet and silver pin buckle, along with a distinctive tab recalling those featured on vintage pilot helmets.
