Marc Jacobs recently launched a new line of Smart Watches which are modeled off their existing Riley hybrid smartwatch. It’s a first for the fashion brand which up till now has only offered the hybrid models.
Marco Jacobs took out their new line of smartwatches which feature a 1.19-inch AMOLED display, and it has quite a thick bezel along with control button on the side that mimics the look of a traditional crown. Inside, things are similar to other Wear OS smartwatches with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. Google Assistant is also built-in, but you’ll need to have the watch connected to an iPhone or Android device in order to use this feature.
The brand claims that the watch has a battery life of 24 hours, which is seriously disappointing for the people who owned the hybrid watch from the brand which featured a battery life of up to 6 months. The watch gives an option of wireless charging.
The watch is available in three varieties: all-black, rose gold with a cement-colored strap, and gold with a white strap. You can also customize the wearable with a variety of watch face choices available from the brand. Marc Jacobs claims there are over a thousand face options for you to switch up your wrist’s look.
The watch has many features including discrete notifications, remote music control, activity tracking, and several more, the connected watch syncs to your smartphone via Bluetooth to act as your on-the-go assistant that also looks like a high-end watch with a signature Marc Jacobs touch. The watch also gives an option of clicking selfies, goal tracking, and many other things.
While the watch will be available in the UK in July, it’s not likely to launch all over the world until later this year. The watch is up there with the more expensive smartwatches we’ve seen from fashion brands in the last year or two.
