And while piracy remains a real concern in the 21st century, there is no doubt that the buccaneer will forever fascinate lovers of adventure, here’s Montegrappa’s limited edition Pirates pen for the pens aficionado.
Since 1912, for more than a century, Montegrappa has been manufacturing high-quality writing instruments in the same historic building in Bassano del Grappa, North East Italy.
And it has forever striven to do so while conserving the traditional skills of its founder.
And the latest creation from the ramparts of Montegrappa bears testimony to this. They have come up with all new Pirates series. The style of pen reminds us of the Pirates who traversed the Caribbean during the 16th through 19th centuries. These pens also describe about the legends and to live life bigger.
Offered as piston-fed fountain and rollerball pens, the Pirates writing instrument is made in Charcoal Black celluloid and a die-cast precious metal barrel and cap. This impressive masterpiece has been produced in both Sterling Silver with yellow gold details, and solid 18k yellow gold, embellished with an array of symbols that have defined the buccaneer for six centuries.
Fitted to the Pirates fountain pen is a nib made of 18 k gold, offered in the three writing grades of Fine, Medium and Broad. The body of the Pen is designed with Jolly Roger pattern.
Adorned with ropes and chains, the Pirates pens also feature guns, swords, treasure maps and doubloons as well as ships in full sail and a sinuous representation of the mermaid Syrena, whose fate was romantically interwoven with the notorious pirate, Blackbeard.
Each pen comes in its own “treaure box”, finished in red lacquered wood, with black interior and the reproduction of a sterling silver pound on its cover.
