Tell us about some of your features or elements, you add to room interiors?
When it comes to interiors, less is more for me. Minimalistic yet classy is what we aim to achieve for our clientele. Opting for subtle colours while injecting a little energy with some pops of colour on accessories makes the room interiors stand out. Also, I strongly believe instead of making the room a furniture showroom, it’s very important to add your own personality to the house. At Awesome snoozie we believe that a house is a reflection of who lives there, and we try to highlight the hobbies, interests through art and objects that reflect those passions.
Where do you get inspired from, for new projects?
For me every project is unique as I aspire to create beautiful designs that are both inspiring and inviting. I aim to always combine my creative approach with an elegant and luxurious style to create a flawless finish. I get inspired by researching and coming across
Do you feel colours play an important role while designing rooms for Kids? What’s your take on this?
Colours are one the most noticeable attributes of the world around us. For babies and small children colour understanding is essential learning tools in life like colour recognition. The best colour for kids subtle yellow (promotes concentration and emotive thoughts), green (calming, refreshing, and nurturing), red (excite and energize body) and warm colours like pink blue and many more.
How do you combine beauty and function in your projects?
I believe in modern interior styles that is functional but still retains beautiful history and values of that place. My main mantra is to combine Form and Function to create a distinct and inviting spaces.
You have said before that while designing nurseries for your daughters, you experienced a challenge, so do you still face such challenges while doing projects and how do you take it up?
The main challenges are meeting the client’s expectations and fitting in budget requirements, inflation and dealing with labour, these are some of the key challenges which needs to be encountered on a day to day basis.
Till date what is your favourite project or request from client?
The clients wanted colonial designs combined with contemporary trends. The mouldings and tufted sofa add colonial touch while the table, paintings and lightings gave it a very Nordic feel.
What do you see for the future of new interior designers?
Technology plays an important role in the future of interior design. Anyone that work, wants to work has an interest in one of the most creative and exciting industries out there and designers will be needed to respond to consumer expectations.
Tell us about some of your interesting projects for the future?
I’m looking forward to doing fun yet functional kid’s rooms, as a mother of two daughter when I was going through the early days of my pregnancy. I wanted someone to do my baby’s nurseries but what marked had to offer than was limited and prices were exorbitant so, I decided to combine the two and came up with awesome snoozie.
