When? April 13-15, April 20-22

Where? Empire Polo Club in Indio, California

What? Coachella will take place over two weekends with the line-up hinting at a genre shift for a festival once dominated by rock bands like Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC and Radiohead. This year, the guitars are much scarcer, with St. Vincent, the war on Drugs and Haim representing a younger generation taking the rock in disparate directions. Instead, there’s plenty of hip-hop, with Eminem headlining on the heels of a new Album, “Revival”, and sets lined up from Cardi B, Migos, Vince Staples. Other performers include SZA, King Krule, and David Byrne. The main draw, of course, will be Beyoncé.


When? 20 July-29 July

Where? It takes place at recreation area De Schorre in Boom, Belgium

What? It is an electronic music festival held in Belgium. With roots that can be traced back to 2005, this event has grown into one of the best-known music festivals, organized by Dutch Dance music super-promoters ID&T. This event is among a growing number of live music festivals catering to a younger generation with add-on experiences. It is going to have famous DJs like David Guetta, Like Mike, Martin Garrix and many more.

Where? Novi Sad, Serbia

What? It is another world-famous music festival and one of the most recognized.It has electronic, metal, hip-hop and punk music. Showcasing a hugely diverse lineup, recent line-ups have featured The Killers, Hardwell, and Jason Derulo, showing exactly why EXIT has become as popular as it is done.

When? July 27-31

Where? Yuzawa, Niigata Prefecture, Japan

What? It is biggest outdoor music event in Japan and one of the largest in Asia and the World. The backdrop to the festival is the mountains of Naeba which are lush and green in summer. It showcases rock and electronic music and will be hosting artists like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, James Blake, Beck, Wilco and many more.

Where? Gulf Shores Public Beach, United States
