Over in Harads in Northern Lapland, a very special experience is all set to roll. The Arctic Bath, a floating spa, and the hotel is slated to launch soon.
If you are the adventure-loving type then add Sweden’s soon-to-be-launched Arctic Bath, a floating spa, and hotel to your bucket list. Dreamed up by the folks who created the spectacular Treehotel, the Arctic Bath is 100% going to be an out-of-the-world experience. Set afloat on the Lule River, this one-of-a-kind experience, offers overnight accommodations in one of the six floating hotel rooms, and best of all, front row seats for the Northern Lights.
In the winter, when the river freezes it envelopes the Arctic Bath truly making it one of the most unique spa experiences in the World. The structure houses a one-of-a-kind spa treatment room, four saunas, an outside cold bath, a hot bath, showers and changing room. The centre of the bath is the open air that allows for sunbathing, ice bathing and stargazing from the plunge pool.
It is set to open in early 2018.The logjam-inspired floating lodge honors the jagged piles of timber that once clogged up its river home, and offers visitors a refreshing dip in an ice-cold bath in its centre.
The hotel is designed so that guests will have the perfect spot to view the star-filled sky, including the famous Aurora Borealis. The hotel is being built with the highest environmental standards in mind, using local materials and with a minimal, to no, impact on the environment.
